Privacy Policy

“Paving Futures” is a program of the “Educating for Excellence” association.

Since “Educating for Excellence” (R.A.) (hereinafter: “the Association”) respects the privacy of users of its websites, information systems, and databases it manages and operates (hereinafter: “the Websites”), the Association has decided to publish its privacy policy and is committed to adhering to it.
The purpose of this policy is to explain the Association’s practices regarding user privacy on the Websites and how the Association uses the information provided by users or collected during their use of the Websites.

General

When using the services of the Websites, information about you is collected. Some of this information identifies you personally, such as your name, address, personal details you provide, payment methods used, and so forth. This is information you knowingly provide, for example, when registering for services on the Websites.
Some of the information does not identify you personally and is not stored alongside your personal details. This is statistical and aggregated information, such as advertisements you viewed on the Websites, pages you visited, offers and services that interested you, the internet address (IP) from which you accessed, and more.

Registration for Services

When personal details are required during registration for the Association’s services, the Association will request only the information necessary directly for providing the services.

Database

The data collected will be stored in the Association’s databases and will be under its responsibility.

Use of Information

The use of the collected information will be solely in accordance with this privacy policy and the provisions of the law, for the following purposes:
– To enable the use of various services on the Websites.
– To improve and enhance the services and content offered on the Websites.
– To modify or cancel existing services and content.
– To conduct learning processes about Website usage, the frequency of page visits, and other relevant information.
– To tailor the advertisements displayed during visits to the Websites to your areas of interest.
– To allow the Association to contact users who provided their details.
– To facilitate your registration and activity as a participant/employee/volunteer/scholarship recipient in the Association’s programs.
– To enable the Association to support your activities as a participant/employee/volunteer/scholarship recipient within its framework and provide its services to you.

Direct Electronic Mail

The Association wishes to send you, from time to time, via email, information about its services as well as marketing and promotional information. Such information will be sent to your email, and you may opt out at any time and cease receiving it.
The Association will not share your personal details with advertisers except in accordance with the law. Additionally, your email address may be transferred to promote publications related to the Association. If you do not wish for this, you may contact the Association using the contact details below.
The Association may share statistical information about users’ activities on the Websites. Statistical information shared will not identify you personally.

Sharing Information with Third Parties

The Association will not share personal details knowingly provided or collected about your activities on the Websites with third parties except in the following cases:
– In the event of a legal dispute between you and the Association that requires disclosure of your information according to the law.
– If you perform activities on the Websites contrary to the law.
– If a judicial order is issued instructing the disclosure of your information to a third party.
– If the Association sells or transfers its Website operations to another entity, merges with another organization, or integrates its Website activities with those of a third party, provided that the third party undertakes to uphold this privacy policy.
– If you explicitly permit the Association to share your personal information with an external party (e.g., academic institution, external organization, the Ministry of Education, clearance of sex offense records from the Israel Police, etc.).

The Association’s Websites use “cookies” for routine and proper operation, including collecting statistical data about Website usage, verifying details, tailoring the Website to your preferences, and ensuring data security.

From time to time, like many other websites, the Association allows companies and organizations to manage advertisement systems on the Websites. These cookies allow them to collect information about the websites you visited, advertisements you viewed, and ads you clicked on. The use of cookies by these entities is subject to their privacy policies, not the Association’s.

Data Security

The Association implements updated systems and procedures for data security on its Websites. While these systems and procedures reduce the risks of unauthorized access, they do not provide absolute security. Therefore, the Association cannot guarantee that its services are completely immune to unauthorized access to the information stored in them.

Right to Review Information

Under the Protection of Privacy Law, 1981, any individual has the right to review the information held about them in a database. An individual who reviews the information and finds it incorrect, incomplete, unclear, or outdated may request that the database owner correct or delete the information.

Additionally, if the information in the Association’s databases is used for personal contact purposes, you are entitled under the Protection of Privacy Law, 1981, to request in writing, at the address mentioned above, that your information be deleted from the relevant database.

Changes to the Privacy Policy

If substantial changes are made to this policy regarding the use of personal information you provided, a notice will be posted on the Websites’ homepage.
